80s inspired synth pop with a synth wave flavour. Rogue FX is Andrew Wood from North East England Returned to music in 2022 after over 20 years after previous releases with the dance music group Bass Value in the 90s.
RETROBUTION‘ introduces itself in such a sweet and strong way. The drum tones are plucky and bright, and they’re cut in beautifully by the smooth vocals. Rogue X has such nice control of his breathy and sweet tone, but he also pulls off some precise riffs and explores a wide vocal range with a punch of emotional charisma.
His high and low tones are all succinctly delivered, and the colorful music weaves its way into being the perfect backdrop. The introduction of a deeper bass and bending synths add such a presence to the sound. He pulls you straight into its atmosphere as if its a daydream.
